Cookie Nostalgia

Last week for the fourth of July my Mom pulled out a delicacy that brought back happy childhood memories. Nabisco's Pinwheel cookies.... marshmallow and chocolate goodness. These difficult to find cookies were a family favorite when we were kids. My sisters and I considered eating a Pinwheel cookie to be an incomplete experience if it did not involve picking the chocolate of at least one cookie. Observe.

Seven months old and under the weather

Anna is seven months old today! Unfortunately she isn't feeling very well. She woke up sick and with a fever on Monday and has not been feeling since then. Her fever went away after a couple of days but she now has a cold :(.

Baby gourmet

Anna has been eating solids for a little over a month now and has developed some definite preferences.

5 stars- pears, apples
4 stars- bananas, sweet potatoes, carrots
3 stars- oatmeal
2 stars- rice cereal
1 star- sweet peas (Anna cries if we try to sneak these in.)

Babylegs

Last week at the cloth diapering store I picked up a new accessory/clothing item for Anna. They're called Babylegs. They're basically long leg warmers for babies. I'm hoping they'll come in handy once Anna starts crawling to protect her knees. They're also rather convenient for diaper changes and adding or taking off layers in car rides. What do you think? Driving back to Michigan

Today we made the drive back to Michigan. Anna did so well! She slept for about 3 hours of the trip and played well most of the time she was awake. She's doing so much better on car rides these days.

St. Louis, Day Six

Today our friends Bekah and Caleb came over with their two boys, Daniel and Seth. This was the first time we met Seth and he is such a sweetie! We also took Anna to my favorite St. Louis restaurant, The Pasta House.

St. Louis, Day Five, Happy Fourth of July!

Anna was very excited to see her Daddy this morning! Bryan arrived in St. Louis late last night. Today we spent the day at home with my Mom and Dad, Michelle and Tristan.

St. Louis, Day Four

Today my Dad and I took Anna to the Missouri Botanical Gardens for a tram tour. They are currently hosting an exhibit of Niki sculptures. Anna also met two new people today- my friend Becky and her Great Grandma England.

St. Louis, Day Three

Today was another busy day in Saint Louis. In the morning we took Anna to meet some of my Mom's friends at her Jazzercize class. In the afternoon my Dad and I took Anna back to the Saint Louis Zoo to take a ride on the train. Later we spent some time with Anna's new cousin Tristan. Anna also enjoyed her first swim in a pool.
