The dress up box

We have a cardboard box at our house of random items that Anna likes to dress up. She is especially fond of the hats. Tonight we discovered that the sparkle shirt is especially fun when there is direct sunlight coming in. Do you remember that shirt, Catie?

This show was brought to you by the letter P

Anna has recently developed a passion for the letter P. This is because we sing the alphabet together and "P" is Anna's big line. When we color Anna requests "more P! more P!" so I'll draw some Ps for her to color. So cute!

I had a nice laidback birthday today. We went to a church picnic and hung out at home.

A potty experiment

Anna has successfully used the potty a few times now. We recently saw Anna's pediatrician and she told us that she thinks we should give potty training a try. We were a little unsure, but decided to give it a shot. We purchased some training underwear and wrapped them up for Anna. Today we had no particular plans so Anna and I stayed home for potty day #1.


We tried the training pants for a couple of days and decided to put them away for awhile when Anna became somewhat less than enthusiastic about having to stop to try and use the potty when she wanted to play. We'll continue to keep the potty available to Anna whenever she wants to use it, but we'll stick to diapers for now.

Anna made a pizza today! We took the easy way out and bought a premade crust at the farmer's market. We put on the sauce and had Anna add the cheese, green pepper, onion and pepperoni. Yum!

Playgroup at our house

Today we hosted playgroup in our new house for the first time. One nice perk of not having much furniture is that there is lots of space for running and playing. The kids had a great time and Anna enjoyed having them over.
