Anna and I have been attending a series of six classes run by the hospital she was born in. It's called Baby & Me: Our morning out. Today was our last session and the topic was Tummy Time. Anna was happy to demonstrate.

All that tummy time wore her out!

Johnny Jump-Up

Anna has not yet figured out that she can actually jump in her doorway jumper, but she does seem to enjoy hanging out in it.

Game night

Bryan and I get together with a group of friends in Grand Rapids once a month to hang out and play games. Today it was our turn to host.

Bryan let Anna play with his water bottle while we waited for company to arrive. For some reason she found this shocking.

One last trip to see the butterflies

The butterfly exhibit at Frederick Meijer gardens ends at the end of April, so we decided to take one last trip to see the butterflies. We went with Karissa and her daughter Lillian and Lindsey and her son Gabe.

Karissa picked Anna and I up because we did not have a car today. Lillian was sleeping peacefully in the backseat until Anna started crying beside her. Sorry, Lillian!

Outside the butterfly exhibit there is a children's garden. Lillian and Gabe both enjoyed playing in the water. (Anna was not a big fan, so she watched.)

A high chair and grass

Anna had a couple of first today. She tried out her new high chair for the first time and put her feet in the grass for the first time.

The Great Outdoors

The weather in Michigan has been gorgeous the last few days. We've taken the opportunity to spend lots of time outside.

Anna's new cousin arrived this afternoon! Tristan is 7 lbs., 11 oz. and 21 inches long. Congratulations, Michelle and Joe!

A New Cousin

Today my sister Michelle is being induced at 2:00 pm. We are anxiously awaiting Anna's new cousin!

Visit to Lansing

This weekend we are visiting Anna's grandparents in Lansing. Anna is getting lots of attention!

Anna is getting pretty skilled at rolling over from her back to her front.

This afternoon Barb, Anna, and I we went to Ann Arbor to meet with a group of Michigan moms. They all had a baby in December and are part of an online group in which I participate. We went to Olive Garden for lunch and then for a walk around the mall.

We were quite the spectacle with all of our strollers. I noticed many shoppers stopping to count the babies.

By the time we drove back to Lansing Anna was worn out!

This evening Anna became acquainted with Junior, the Van Hal's cat.

Four month check-up

Today we visited the pediatrician's office for Anna's four month check-up. Anna now weights 13 lbs., 9 oz. and is 24 1/4 inches tall. She is in the 50th percentile for both weight and height. She also had four immunizations- ouch!

Anna Rolling Over

Anna rolled over for the first time today! She did it four times: three times from back to front and once from front to back. This video is of roll #2 and roll #3.

Sentimental Mommy

I've been feeling very sentimental the last few days. I've been going through all of our old pics and had to share. Here are photos of Anna as a newborn, at one month, at two months, at three months, and at four months. Our little girl has gotten so big!

Yesterday I bought Anna a pair of baby sunglasses at the grocery store. They're way too big for her, but they almost fit her Daddy!

Four months old

We learned something new today. Dresses are fun to eat!

Four month olds are so easy to entertain...
