I had a great time this afternoon playing with the new camera- especially the macro setting. Anna is very patient with her mom's amateur photography attempts.

Good morning, Anna!

When I was pregnant people frequently asked me what I was most looking forward to when the baby was here. I usually said that I couldn't wait until I went to pick up my baby from her crib and saw her face smiling back at me. This is how she greeted me when I came to get her after her morning nap.

We went to Best Buy today to pick up a new toy for me - a new camera! You will probably see lots of photos and videos in the coming weeks as I learn to use it.

Baby Shower

Anna attended her very first baby shower today! It was held in honor of her Aunt Michelle. She met LOTS of new people.



This busy day wore her out.

Meeting more family

Today Anna got to meet lots of new family members! She met her Aunt Michelle, her Grandparents Donna and John, and her Uncles Aaron, Jacob, and Nolan.

Road trip

This weekend we went for our first long trip with Anna- a whirlwind trip to St. Louis. Today Anna took several opportunities to remind us that she does not enjoy being in her carseat.

Anna's favorite toy is a star that attaches to the the top of her play gym. It lights up and changes colors in time with some fun music.

Two month check-up

Anna now weighs 10 lbs, 2 oz and is 22 inches long. That puts her in the 30th percentile for weight and 50th percentile for height. Her ear infection has cleared up, and we're still working with the doctor to find the best medicine for her reflux. She also received four immunizations- ouch!

Visiting with friends

Today our friends Dan, Karissa, and Lillian came over for a visit. We think Lillian is adorable enjoying lunch in her impromptu highchair.

Feeling a little better

Anna already seems to be doing a little better! She is a much happier baby today.

A Visit to the Doctor

Anna has been increasingly fussy over the past two weeks, especially when she is eating. We brought her in today, and the doctor thinks that she has acid reflux and an ear infection. We got some medicine, so hopefully she will feel better soon.
