Update on lost camera and the techno klutz
Okay, now that it's been awhile I can talk about my poor camera. I left it at a public park and it was never recovered. Yet another lesson for me that I need to check for all of my belongings whenever I'm leaving. Bryan was understandably rather upset with me for being so careless and of course, I was (and still am) very upset with myself. I'm happy to report that we have purchased another camera and it arrived yesterday.
Unfortunately we lost about 2 weeks worth of photos and videos that were on the memory card. These include everything from our week long trip to St. Louis. We also don't have any photos from the time the camera was lost until today when we started using our new camera. I'll try to recreate as much as I can for the blog. My parents were kind enough to mail me CDs with the photos they took in St. Louis and some of the photos they had downloaded from my camera that week. Barb (Bryan's mom) and Karissa have also shared some photos from that time that I'll post.
On another note, I would like to take a moment to mourn the fact that I am a techno klutz. I try to take good care of my things. I get my oil changed regularly. I've always had virus scanners on my computers. Despite all precautions, though, I seem to have a tendency to drop things, trip over things, lose things, etc. Yesterday, for instance, I put my key drive through the washing machine.

Little beggar girl
Anna has not really cared for bananas too much in the past. She has liked it from a jar but not as a table food. Tonight she saw Daddy eating a banana and decided that perhaps she does like bananas after all.
A trip to the gardens with Lindsey and Gabe
Today Anna and I met our friends Lindsey and Gabe at Frederick Meijer Gardens. The kids had a great time playing in the children's garden!
On the way there Anna and I saw something very unusual on the highway.

While Gabe and Anna were playing at the child-sized table with the tea set Anna kept dropping dishes. Gabe was kind enough to pick them up for her. What a gentleman!

Home Depot and trying out the new carseat
Today we took a field trip to Home Depot to have some keys made. They have some very cool carts for kids! Anna had a blast riding around. This trip was also Anna's first time riding in her new carseat.
