New Orleans Day #1

Today I flew to New Orleans to attend my sister Kathryn's graduation. Anna is staying at home with Bryan this weekend. Tonight Kathryn brought us to campus for a tour and to attend "Wave Goodbye," an event on campus with live music and genuine New Orleans cuisine.

I took this video to show how well Anna takes her medicine these days. Instead the video demonstrates that Anna startles easily, just like her Mom.

Anna is not yet able to sit in a conventional manner, but she has developed what we have affectionately nicknamed "The Tripod."

Mother's Day and 5 months old

Bryan got me a video baby monitor for Mother's Day which I absolutely love, but Anna gave me the best gift of all- a 3 hour morning nap! Her nap schedule usually works like clockwork- awake for 2 1/2 hours, sleep 1/2 hour, and repeat.

We went to Johnny Carino's for lunch- my favorite! We had to take our food to go, though, as Anna is still under the weather and did not quite make it through the meal.

Lillian's birthday party

Today we went to Holland to celebrate Lillian's first birthday!

Gabe (aka Gabbers) and Lillian both saw Anna and decided they needed to investigate.

Just when we thought Anna couldn't possibly drool anymore, she caught a cold! Poor baby.

Anna received a rattle in her goody bag from the party. It has become her latest favorite toy.
