Grandma's birthday

We went to Olive Garden today to celebrate Grandma Van Hal's birthday. We also went to a mall so Anna could play in the play area. Anna had a great time!

One of Anna's qualities that I've really come to appreciate lately is her ability to find joy in any situation. Here she is having a blast in the checkout lane at Meijer.

Little bitty sleepy one

Anna has been extra sleepy for the last couple of days as we've been moving towards one nap a day. One perk of this is that she sometimes falls asleep in my arms when I feed her just before her nap. It's so hard to put her in her crib even though I know I should. I love to hold this little angel when she's sleeping.

Visiting Daddy

This morning I brought Anna to the dentist with me. She was very good and sat on my lap for almost the entire cleaning. As a special treat we stopped by Daddy's office on the way home. She was so surprised to see him!

Tooth #2

Much to Anna's dismay, tooth #2 arrived today! Now she has both front bottom teeth. We'll try to get a photo once it's completely through.

Checking out a new park

The park we usually take Anna to was closed today so we decided to check out another park nearby.

School spirit and a new friend

Today Anna decided to show off her school spirit for her Aunt Kathryn.

This afternoon we went to TJ Maxx and Anna made a new friend. She was quite fond of him.

Sleepy girl

Anna has been extra sleepy the last couple of days because we're in the process of transitioning her from two naps per day to one.

Anna isn't typically a cuddly sort of baby, so I've been taking advantage of her temporary willingness to snuggle.

After our snuggle we went for a walk to perk Anna up.

Spending time with family

Anna dressed up again today for a visit from her Grandma and Grandpa Van Hal and Uncle Mike.

Anna had an extra special greeting for Uncle Mike. When he came in she walked over for a hug.

A Christmas project

I've wanted to make Anna a Christmas stocking for awhile and it just recently occured to me that I really need to get on it if I'm going to finish it in time. I recently purchased a kit from Ebay and here it is! For those of you who are crafters, I accidentally ordered a stamped cross stitch kit instead of a counted cross stitch kit, which should make things more interesting. I'm hoping to complete it in time by working on it for a half an hour a day after Anna is in bed. We'll see!
